v0.97.0 — Readings wait in the tray
Several files are read together, and the readings you have not settled yet wait in a tray beside the invoice list. The reading window can be resized, filled to the screen and closed with the browser’s back arrow.

- A “Documents” tray beside “New Invoice”. A button with a counter shows the readings you have not yet saved as an invoice or discarded, and where each one stands: uploaded, queued, being read, read or failed. Clicking a row opens exactly that document. A reading waits there for up to a week from upload (“Kept for 7 days”) and then goes, file and all; older rows come in under “Show older”.
- The batch and the tray, kept apart. What you have just dropped gets one price and one press in the window: “Read N documents”. Everything already waiting in the tray is read with a separate “Read all N waiting documents” — and neither button appears before its price is known. You check them one by one afterwards — and you still save each separately, with your own click.
- The window walks the whole tray. The arrows in the window header lead both ways through every waiting document, not just the latest batch. With a few documents there is a row of dots — one per document, in the colour of its state — and with more, a “Document N of M” counter. A reading you have already looked at can be returned to.
- The window is a window, not a pane of glass. On a larger screen you drag its bottom-right corner or fill the screen with it, and it remembers the size you chose. It also has an address of its own: the browser’s back arrow steps to the document you looked at before and, at the end, closes the window and leaves the list where it was; forward opens it again.
- “This does not look like an invoice” is said outright. When the reader takes the paper for a receipt, a proforma, a note or some other document, the window warns you, and the decision stays yours: you can still make an invoice of it, or discard the reading. When not a single invoice field could be read from the file, the window says that outright too, charges no credits for it and offers “Try again”.
- A reading nobody picked up stops hanging. After a minute in the queue the window says outright that the document is waiting for a free reader. If nobody picks it up, or the reading never comes back, the document ends with a named reason — nothing charged — and a “Try again” button, instead of spinning forever. The notification about a failed reading opens the window on exactly that document.
