v0.29.0 — The tax overview: one number, one deadline, and a timeline you can work from
Przegląd now leads with the only question that matters — how much you owe in total and by when — and its timeline stopped being decorative: every period says where it stands and what to do with it.
The tax overview used to spread the answer across four equal tiles: VAT here, lump-sum tax there, the deadline in a gauge of its own. Adding them up was your job. Its second tab, the obligations timeline, showed a period name, an amount and a status chip — and to do anything about it you had to leave. Both are working tools now.
- One total, computed on the server. «Razem do zapłaty» sums what this period actually owes — VAT plus the lump-sum advance where one is due — and states the nearest payment deadline next to it, with the days remaining. The figure is exact to the grosz: the browser never adds money up, it only displays what the settlement produced.
- What you already paid drops out. Mark an obligation as paid and it leaves the total immediately, with the row carrying the amount you recorded — so the headline number and the payment card can no longer contradict each other. A lump-sum advance that the partners of a company owe personally, not the company itself, is stated but never counted into its total, exactly as the tax calendar has always treated it.
- Every tax keeps its own line, and the year is walkable. Under the total sit the VAT row and, for lump-sum payers, the ryczałt row — each with its own status, deadline, amount and the one action that makes sense right now: generate the declaration, sign and pay it, or just open it. Arrows beside the period move month by month without reloading the page, and stop at the current month rather than letting you wander into the future.
- Every row on the timeline says where it stands. Under the period name is the reason it is there — the filing deadline, the date it was sent, the UPO that came back, the gateway's rejection code, or how many days it is past due — and next to it stands the one action that fits: generate, sign, correct, refresh the UPO or download it. The action opens the document you can actually work on: when a correction is already waiting over a filed period, that correction opens, not the original.
- A summary line above the rail, and «what to do now» beside it. How many periods are still to file, how many need a correction, when the nearest deadline falls — plus a «show only what needs action» switch when you want the work and nothing else. Beside the rail sit up to three moves, the most overdue first: the server works them out, but you only see the ones your permissions allow.
- Walk one year back — and history stays honest. The button under the rail loads the previous calendar year and says up front how many of its periods are still unfiled; while anything is waiting there, the screen will not tell you everything is filed. A month settled as VAT-7 stays monthly even after you switch to quarterly settlement, and the current month sits on the rail as in progress rather than as an arrear.
- Not a VAT payer — no JPK_V7 duties. The timeline says so plainly and points to the tax calendar for the rest, instead of listing twelve obligations that do not exist.
- Live, without a refresh. When a declaration changes status at the tax office — including the moment its UPO finally arrives — the screen updates itself and fades the affected blocks instead of jumping. Each earlier period shows why it is where it is and offers the matching next step, and a rejected period is marked as rejected by more than its colour.
The right-hand column keeps the context: the tax transfer, the VAT exemption limit with what is left of it (and, once it is breached, by how much, in red), KSeF readiness with a shortcut to the invoices still to send, and the filing status with its own deadline — the one JPK files by, which for a quarterly payer is genuinely a different date from the payment.
